Child Safety & Reporting code
In my support, the safety of children is always my top priority. I work in accordance with the statutory reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse. This means I'm alert to signs that could indicate a risk to safety. If I have any concerns, I always discuss them with parents/guardians first. Only when a child's safety is at risk and additional support is needed do I ask for advice or report the matter to Veilig Thuis (Safe at Home). I handle information carefully and don't share it openly. I believe that openness, respect, and cooperation with parents are very important in this process.
